March 13 - 15, 2009 Updates

Rather than put this off until tomorrow - it was decided we should update this blog before everyone wakes up on Monday morning and screams "No updates!!!" So here's an update many of you are probably waiting for. ;-)

First - a quick update on the Trio's weight as some of you have asked for it.
Updated weight as of Sunday March 15th, 2009
Sebastian 4 lb 11 oz
Sydney 4 lb 10 oz
Maximillian 5 lb 1 oz

All three continue to be doing wonderful and are making good progress. Maximillian continues to be way ahead with his feeding as he is now eating 50 ml of milk and he is seriously a sucking machine as he finished a whole bottle in 10 minutes with several burp breaks in between. Oy! I can see him gulping a whole gallon of milk when he is 12 years old! Better start saving up for all of the milks we need in the future! ;)

Sebastian has made significant progress with his feeding and is now up to 40 ml and is capable of finishing more bottles or milk than before. We love it when he's awake and he's ready for his feeding as he will open his mouth as a way of saying "Feed me NOW!!" ;-D

As for Sydney, she is coming along with her feeding. She is up to about 38 ml of milk and has not been consistent with eating the whole bottle regularly. We doubt it will take long for her to catch up.

They all continue to be soooo adorable to watch and hold. Sebastian is soooo animated while Max is full of mystery and Sydney is just a princess. We are sooo much itching and ready to bring them home but waiting patiently. Hopefully it will be before the end of the month.

As for us - we are doing okay. TJ became sick on Friday & Saturday and is still recovering today. TJ decided it was best not to see them on Friday & Saturday and that was hard for him. It was heartbreaking for him. :( He is recovering and starting to feel better. He was able to see them today with a "doctor mask" as a precaution. As for me, I am doing okay - am trying not to become sick and have been taking vitamins, drinking a lot of fluids, getting plenty of rest, and et cetera.

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to see one of my favorite Broadway plays 'RENT' interpreted in ASL here in San Diego. TJ opted not to go as he was not feeling well. I lucked out by getting 3rd row seat considering I bought it 30 minutes before showtime. It had two of the original cast members (Adam Pascal & Anthony Rapp) who both were excellent! The last time I saw 'RENT' was probably in 2000 so PAH! it was grande to get my 'RENT' fix that I've been longing for. After the show, in the midst of the mobbed crowd, I managed to get a picture of Anthony Rapp AND an autograph from him! How awesome was that! I knew this probably will be last opportunity to do something like this for a long while. :)

On Friday, we were given two tickets to a baseball game by the coordinator of the Ronald McDonald House. This was extremely unexpected and nice of her. She thought it would be a good way for us to get out of the house and have a break from the babies, although we feel we do have some time away (for now). So we went to the baseball game today expecting to see the San Diego Padres play but it turned out to be the 2009 World Baseball Classic game between Japan and Cuba. It was different than we expected but we enjoyed ourselves. It indeed was a nice change of scenery that we needed along with the fresh air and sun we had been lacking.

That pretty much sums up the last few days. More updates and pictures will come your way soon. Hugs to you all.
