March 2 & 3, 2009 Updates

The trio gets cuter and cuter every time we see them. We can't seem to get enough of them. We love watching, holding, and feeding them. I know we come off sounding like cliche parents when we say "they're are sooooo adorable!" :-) All three are now starting to smile and it's soooooo adorable!

We continue to attempt to figure out what each of their personalities will be like. We believe Sydney will be our princess and a 'tough cookie'. Sebastian probably will be laidback and loves attention. As for Maximillian, we believe he'll be a fearless fighter that will be game for challenges. Only time will tell before we know! :-)

A quick update on their progress. All three contiues to make good progress. Sydney's jaundice went up again so she is under the blue light. Other than that, everything else looks good. She is now eating 23 ml. Sebastian and Maximillian are no longer in an incubator and in a crib. They are all regulating their temperatures. Sebastain seems to struggle with eating through bottle. Sebastian is eating approximately 10 ml to 15 ml pending on order from the doctor. Maximillian is no longer on C-PAP or the oxygen machine so he is breathing on his own. It was noticed that Max is breathing fast and they will continue to monitor that. Max is being fed through tube today due to his breathing concern. Yesterday, he was fed 9 ml via bottle and did well with that.

The Trio's weight as of March 3, 2009
Sydney - 4 lb 1 oz
Sebastian - 3 lb 15 oz
Maximillian - 4 lb 7 oz

PAH! We finally have a place that we are staying at without having to change so often. Thanks to one of the nurse here who contacted our social worker about us staying at the Ronald McDonald House. With our luck - there was a vacancy and they were able to take us in so this week we are staying at Ronald McDonald House. Kinda ironic cuz I royally HATE McDonald's food :/ Anyhow we were impressed with the house, the room, and their hospitality. The bed is so comfortable and the shower is really nice! They even provide us with meals. It is a block away from the hospital. Really took us by surprise. As they heavily rely on donations and grants so we encourage you to donate them money next time you plan to donate to a charity. :-)

That's our update for now. More pictures will be coming today.
We will update again either tomorrow or on Thursday pending on our access to wifi and our schedule. Be in touch soon. Hugs to you all!

Sean, TJ, Sydney, Maximillian, & Sebastian
