March 1st updates

1 WEEK OLD TODAY?!?!?!?! It is very hard for us to believe. Time sure flys too fast! Now, we completely understand what our parents have been talking about!! They keep telling us to slow down and stop growing! We feel the same way about our babies! We do want them to gain more weight, be able to eat milk, breathe steadly, and regulate their body temperature so they can come home with us. We are so much looking forward to having them home with us.

It has been stressful hopping to different places to sleep and unloading/loading up our van with stuff we need. We know now it is going to be very stressful going to pack up and travel with our three kiddos!! :-)

Before we forget, one of the nurses (We love her!! She is so sweet! :-)) informed us that we should not fly anywhere with our three kiddos until they are at least a year old. I guess we are going to be traveling by van if desired or needed.

Weight updates:

Sydney - 3 lbs 12 ounces - lost 4 ounces since birth - She lost more but has been gaining more since she has been eating milk for past few days.

Sebastian - 3 lbs 10 ounces - lost 13 ounces since birth - he should be able to gain some weight starting today since he finally is eating some milk today.

Maximillian - 4 lbs 2.3 ounces - only lost 1.7 ounces since birth - he lost more in the beginning but is gaining some back.

Feeding update:

Sydney is doing extraordinary well - She did very well with 9 ml of milk late last night. She did very well with 11 ml of milk this morning and with 13 ml of milk this afternoon. She will be eating 15 ml of milk tonight. WOW! She is very hungry and the nurses are very impressed with her progress.

Sebastian started with 4 ml of milk today and is slowly eating with a bottle. He is struggling with sucking and swallowing but with assistance, he is doing okay. He was fed with a feeding tube this evening.

Maximillian continues not to be fed today. Poor guy!! We are praying that he will be able to eat tomorrow and that his stomach will be able to digest milk better. Also hope the levels of magestium goes down as well.

PJ and TJ left to go back to Phoenix this morning. Thank you guys for coming out and visit us and the babies. We are very happy you guys got to meet our babies. Thank you for everything!! :-)

Our surrogate M came by to visit us and the babies. She got the opportunity to hold each one of them and got to feed Sydney. We are VERY VERY thankful to have her in our lives and help us become parents we have wanted to be!! :-)

Also, Kathy and Byron (from Greeley, Colorado) were in town for a business convention. They had an opportunity to meet our babies and they were in awe of them. :-) Thank you for stopping by and visit us even though it was only for a few minutes. Kathy used to babysit me when I was little and I grew up with their son, Kamron. :-)

Love,
TJ, Sean, Sydney, Sebastian, and Maximillian
